I Got A Credit Card

Hi Everyone,

My name is Patty, and I recently got my first credit and I love it. Anyone who wants a credit card and has turned eighteen I suggest you get one.

I think owning a credit card is awesome and it also helps people to be more mature and spend their money wisely. The bad part of having a credit card is when you get the bill. I am very scared because I haven't got my bill yet, and I really wish I won't get it at all. Well, to all you first timers out there, good luck with your credit card future.

I wouldn't get a Credit Card. I'd only get Debit, because of the risk of certain companies. I get mine from Merck. Merck has a Credit Union in most plants. I'm in Virginia, and the Stonewall Plant has it. I'd go to the bank to get the card. It can put you in debt if you put money on it yourself. I wouldn't mess with it. Checks can mess you up too. I'd only use it if I had to.

you have to learn how to manage ur credit card better because u can end up owing a lot of money. I only use my credit card because my bank charges me money if i use my debit card 15 times or more. so i use my visa and then just transfer the ds online when its due. btw you should NOT have a credit card unless u work or unless ur rents are filthy rich and are willing to pay it for you. their are a lot of perks to owning a credit card...like building a credit. sometimes u cant even get a loan unless u have some record of good credit. as long as u pay each bill u will still have good credit. also...if u decide u really want something, and u dont get paid till thursday, u can buy it, and then just pay it off when u get paid. that part of it, is awesome:P anyways thats my opinion. ive had a credit card as a student for a lil more than a year now. ive paid every bill on time

A credit card does teach you responsibility but not because you can use it whenever you want. When that bill comes you will learn the true meaning of being responsible. Credit card companies target people our age because we end up paying more either in interest or late fees. I do not suggest a credit card until a person can understand budgeting and interest. Not to mention this is yourfuture credit and therefore future car, insurance and house purchases we are talking about. It is not something to take lightly. Be careful!

as long as you have the money to pay the credit card company back on time, you don't need to be worried about the bill. Before I make a purchase, I always ask myself if I will be able to pay them back within the same month.
