My Mom's Purse Was Stolen!

Hey I was wondering if you could help me, my moms purse was stolen and it had all her credit cards,checks, birth cards and everything else in it. What should I do? Is there a way to get the stolen purse back? My mom also had loose money in it which I know won't be there if we ever get it back. But you have to understand my family isn't like really rich but were not really poor but this will have an impact on us. If this has happened to someone you know could you please e-mail. Please HELP.

cancel the cards.. they will send u new one.. if her licence and all that was in it she would have to go reapply for them.. which is a pain if u dont have othyer id.. as far as gettin the purse back.. chances are u just cant unless u know who stole it

hey dont wrry as long as she canceled her credit card they cant use it or the checks i no this b/c this has happened to my mom!!!good luck!

CAncel all the cards, and report it lost. You can also order a credit report to see any fraudulent spending. ALso you might want to tell your mom to look into changing her SSN# if that was in there because people can steal her identity and get a job under it and her paychecks, and if they get charged with a crime, her name will show up. They had articles about this in Seventeen, Cosmopolitan, and Marie Claire. It might sound paranoid, but better safe than sorry, because people have gotten into huge debts and been wanted for lots of crimes because of their identity being stolen. If there is a crime under her name, she can mail mug s s and fingerprint samples to any police station that may have charged her. HOpe this s, but I also hope it doesn't get all crazy like that.
