My Stocks Down the Drain

My mom had gotten me several stocks, and they were doing really well, but after the economy started to go down hill so did my stocks. These stocks were going to be money that went for my college funds. Not anymore I am pretty much back to where I started money wise. I have lost thousands of dollars. This is horrible. This might mean no college. I know a lot of other people are having the same problem and its not just me but still its really a shame. Its unknown how long it will take for the economy to go back up to normal or if it even will. Stocks are more risky then ever now a days

Hey, mabye your individual stocks are doing poorely but overall our economy is doing great and expanding. In no way is our economy in trouble of slowing down.

ny, i won during the economic downturn, my stocks didn't really flinch at all, good quality stocks, thats my ticket

aww boo hoo. you know what they say... play with fire and you're gonna get burned. that's all the stock market is, a big gamble. you win some and you lose some. oh well i'm sure it will recover.

Sorry to hear that. The market did take a beating, but some areas of the market seem to have already rebounded. Hang in there, if the companies didn't go under, then maybe they'll climb back up. Good luck.
