I'm 13 years old and I need money
Ok I'm 13 years old and I'm basically desperate for money!!! I usually get money for my birthday and other things, but then I always spend it in like a week!!! Then I find my self wanting things like cds or makeup!!! I'm basically asking for ways for me to make money!!! Please help me. Because my family is going through money problems so I don't get what I want all the time!! I get really jealous when other people's mom's buy there daughters stuff and then when I ask my mom for money to go to the movies she always says "no pay for it yourself"!!!!!

Its gettin really annoying and worse. As time goes on I see that this is only going to continue to get worse. When I think about college or university I freak out. How am I suppose to pay for that!! My family can't and I definiately can't. So now I really need to think about ways to make money and hopefully if I am able to get a student loan, I may be able to make it through college. If you have any ideas on how a 13 year old can get money, please let me know.

Have you ever heard of something called a job>? you sound pretty damn spoiled and lazy. get a job then you dont have to keep bugin on ur rents for money- and you can save up for something MORE IMPORTANT then cds or makeup its called your future and you'll need alot of money for college/university.

Well, first off, I'm not going to say you SHOULDN'T get CDs or makeup (hey, we're girls and that's just what we do) but before you buy it, ask yourself if you will use it. I know I have a whole pile of CDs from middle school that are just sitting there collecting dust. And don't even start me on all that fushia makeup I thought would be cool but that now I wouldn't be caught wearing anywhere!
Learning to manage your money is the first thing, I think. Your parents do it every month (well, okay, maybe they don't, but they PROBABLY do, and I'm assuming they do so bear with me) They set aside money for the house payments, for the car payments, for taxes, for groceries, electricity, running water, little extras, and who knows what else. When you make money, you can set aside some for things like movies, some for long term things like college, and some for that ever-coveted latest N Sync CD...(okay that might be a little before your time :))
I found that something that worked well when I was in middle school was that I would actually loan out MY money to my parents. It helped me learn more about money because I was in control. I made my own savings account, with them, not with the bank (which, depending on where you live and how much your local bank costs to do so, can be pretty pricey for a 13 yr old) and whenever I would check back, I'd find out that I had a lot more money than I thought I had!!! (which was undoubtedly a good thing :)) And if they needed more money (since my folks were running into tough times back then, too :)) they could borrow it from me; and then they'd pay it back. So it works for your family and in getting your financial priorities straight.
Anyways, good luck!! :)

ok duh. it's called a savings account. u set it up with $25 that u got or somethin and then u make it, then it builds interest. and maybe u should get a job. that would most likely help. anyways, i'm sure u get enough stuff anyways. as long as you have food, clothes, shoes, and a decent house, u should be grateful for what u have and not say, "oh my mom doesn't help me at all!!!!!!" so chill and be happy with what u have. see, i got a thing called a job so now i can pay for the movies, or makeup or cd's. it's really easy 2 find a job. so stop complainin.

you have 2 portion your money correctly to make it last. Don't get things you don't need like CDs and makeup too often, get it like every few months. You can also win some prizes on TeenFx and sell them on ebay.com or amazon.com I guess, but they'd have to be like over 15,000 points to actually be good enough to make you money. That was a crazy idea, but it could work.

for college, try to get a scholarship. and for temporary things like cds and makeup, save up your allowance or get a job at the mall, i guess.
